This system is the best choice for saving money by converting a regular sink set up into a regulation compliant, on-demand eye wash station without giving anything up. The Speakman Eyesaver Faucet easily installs on an existing sink with no need for additional plumbing or electrical wiring saving you money and downtime.

Features of the Speakman Faucet Eyesaver Faucet SEF-1820 Combination Unit

The unit features thermostatically controlled water temperature that rinses eyes with the correct temperature and overall saves energy. The sensor controlled water flow design eliminates the need for individual hot and cold handles making it streamlined for use both as a regular faucet and as an eye wash station. Battery or AC/DC power module ensures correct temperature even during power outages.

Sensor controlled on and off makes eye washing easy keeping the unit immediately ready when someone approaches. No time lost fumbling to turn on the water when vision is impaired and need is the greatest. Also convenient for the regular sink set up offering always ready hands free operation.

Large graphics indicate the activation lever so employees always know where the eye wash station is located. One handed easy pull turns the regular faucet into an eye wash station. Intuitive design insures that the injured person can quickly and easily get the unit working as fast as possible reducing long term injury to the eyes.

2 eye cups provide aerated, temperature controlled water directed to the eyes and face at a perfect 30 psi pressure to ensure adequate eye wash. The dust covers keep the eye cups clean and easily flip down when needed directly above the activation pull.

Gooseneck spout brings the water closer to the face and is more serviceable when using the unit for standard purposes. The unit fits almost all sinks accommodating up to 1 ¼” counter thickness and has an 8” deck plate. The eye unit sits 9” up from the deck plate and extends forward 5 ½” from the center pipe.

The Speakman Faucet SEF-183 meets the ANSI Z358.1, ASME A112.18.1, and CSA B 125-98 regulations and includes a Universal Emergency Sign for full compliance for your eye wash station.

The Speakman Company was founded in 1869 and remains a leader in safety and plumbing equipment and is still run by a fifth generation family member. Other products Speakman offers are the well known Speakman shower head, HVAC cooling systems, WaterSense and NoLead products. The Speakman Faucet is a great choice for work places with existing sinks and offers many convenient features that other eye wash stations have missed.

Haws Eye Wash Models

Top Selling Haws Eye Wash Units vary in model, type, and price range so you can easily find the perfect solution for your needs.

Here we will explore some of the basic types available and their uses. You are certainly already aware of the critical importance of the correct type and positioning for your situation and staff safety based in the chemical or toxin they are working with and what tasks they are performing.

Haws Eye Wash – Deck Mounted

Deck mounted stations easily mount on any existing counter top where plumbing can be found or is the unit you will place into a new counter top installed especially for this unit. This is a stand-alone unit and is generally used solely as an eyewash station not like other models that make existing sinks into a compliant station. This type of station is generally dedicated strictly as an eye wash area ensuring that staff will notice and remember.

Haws Wall Mount Eye Wash Station

Wall mount eyewash stations easily mount to any wall where plumbing is accessible for the most appropriate positioning in your place of business. The sink and aerator materials and options vary on the unit from individual aerators to full face wash and for the sink either stainless steel or plastic. Base your choices on your business needs based on what chemicals are present and what tasks your workers do. This unit is a good choice when there isn’t an existing sink or counter top and you don’t want a pedestal or plumbing running into the floor. Wall mounted units are small and take up little space and are sometimes a good choice for many businesses.

Haws Swing Away Eye Wash Station

Used with an existing sink the swing away deck mounted eye wash units are instantly activated when pulled down or have a simple to use lever. Designed with usually a metal arm they conveniently can be folded away when not needed and take up little space. A swing away unit uses existing plumbing saving you money and with correct signage is very apparent to employees. Models include either dual eye wash aerators or singular eye and face wash models. Models are designed either for specific location mounting or can be mounted to the left, or right of the existing sink fixtures.

Haws Combination Eyewash and Shower Stations

Combination shower and eye wash units include both an eye wash sink and full body shower drenching station. Be aware that a shower station without an eye wash sink will not adequately rinse the eyes. The water pressure from a shower unit is too harsh for the recommended 15 minutes of eye washing. These combination units are a convenient design which can be mounted in any shower stall or come with their own stall set up. They are a good choice when both eye wash and body drench is necessary for your situation. Models vary greatly and some features that are available include freeze resistant, corrosion resistant both with plastic or stainless steel bowls. Look for the units that have an anti-microbial treated AXION MSR eye/face wash head to help protect against the growth of mold and mildew on the treated components and conform to ANSI Z358.1-2009 requirements.

Haws Portable Eye Wash Units

Portable eye wash units come with a variety of capacities to meet your requirements, from a plastic hand-held or wall mounted gravity operated 9 gallon portable unit to a 37 gallon pressurized tank on a dolly set up that includes a body spray. Be aware that these types of units require frequent and ongoing maintenance of the buffered saline solution that they use. These additives are readily available but they will need to be carefully monitored for expiration and serviced often. Depending on what your job site needs are you might want to consider either multiple well-placed smaller units or a larger unit centrally located.

Haws Pedestal Mount Eye Wash Station

Pedestal Mount stations are directly plumbed and are a great choice for a small area where there is no existing sink available. ANSI recommendations place the eye wash station to be reachable within 10 seconds or 10-20 feet from the hazard. The pedestal insures the proper height and this sink should not be placed less than six inches from the wall or nearest obstruction. The pedestal set up is very easy to position for these requirements. Models include plastic sink or stainless steel and most have an easy push on activator. Keep in mind that the injured person must be able to hold both their eyelids open with a continuing water flow. The pedestal mount like most models also have features that range from a full face and eyewash or individual eye aerators for a more focused wash. Again, it depends on your situation which is better. One benefit to the pedestal is that there is no need for an existing sink or counter top, they install and stand alone.

Haws Eye Pod Facet Mount

The small eye pod unit easily attaches to an existing faucet similar to a water filter unit and is very economical for doctors or dentist offices. Comes with faucet adapters to easily mount on whatever your existing system is. Innovative in it’s design, the Pod washes contaminates away from the nasal passages and is recommended for doctors offices, dental offices, ER and EMT facilities.

Haws Drench Hose Eye Wash

Drench Hoses are another alternative you might wish to have available but they sometimes will not replace the need for a standard eye wash station. These come in handy if the injured person is unconscious or unable to stand alone. It is considered a ‘spot’ rinse area. These can however be considered a compliant eye wash station if they conform to the standards that apply to your state or industry. We recommend that you check carefully to be sure. They also are available as singular or dual aerators and mount on an existing sink set up.

Haws has been manufacturing the highest quality water delivery and safety equipment for over 100 years. They designed the first eye/face wash solution that has been proven medically superior. Haws Eye Wash Stations are a great choice for your business.
